We are like the United Nations of graphic design here, We are often pushing the boundaries for better results. I've been using linux for 20 years and have adapted to the 'share house' mentality. I can't remember why I went from Red Hat to Mandrake to Ubuntu but now I wonder why Ubuntu libs are in a different place to Debian libs and everybody else's? At least my systems are not hijacked for 400 bitcoin
But we all know what happens in Linux 'dependency hell'. Some of us go there thru choice
It's good having friends all over the World and I like to give a bit back. I emailed the lead developer of gimp-gap for some help.
Not only are some of these guys in another world mentally but they often speak a different language to the people on their own projects.
I can only speak english but I feel fortunate a lot of you guys from the EU also speak English. You make us Aussies and Americans lazy we don't have to learn another language. But hey! we have to deal with wide open spaces inhibited by grizzly bears and tiger snakes.
