Very cool tut; never played with GIMP's filmstrip preset but may do so in the near future (still a little brain tired right now to play; lol). :)

molly: thank you! pictures full of good memories and i know my friend will like them. they weren't the same size originally, though, i have cropped and scaled them.
whatever the reason, i think your last result came out really cute, i'm looking for good pictures to make something similar :).

Thank you Anmal...I have a bunch of clipart things that I remove the back ground. I add stuff to them like the swing or a tree or a buggy etc.
Just do a search in Bing for different clip-art stuff.
