Which mask do you mean? The dots?

You can also invert the dot color and the background and you get this:

well the textlayer with the missing alphachannel works like a mask, right ?

i do not find this obvious, but i suck at G'MIC :(

the inverted effect is even better, imo :bigthup

Oh, yes i found out that white be transparent when i use this 3D extrusion.
So i had a new idea to use it! :mrgreen:

Wow. I, too, like the inverted one the best. Wondering if a few soft pillows thrown on the bed would be oxymoronic.
