Being able to spin along z axis would have been useful for me a while back when I was creating some glass chihuly renders. Sorry for this bad rendering; don't do animations and can't figure out how to clear each layer (even though I chose that in the export).

You need to add (replace) in the layer attributes, or it will be (combine). e.g. Frame 1 (100ms) (replace) and so on. Tim has written a plug-in that will do it for all layers at once. "Rename_Layers_for_animation.py" I've also used AniTools by Lars as long as I can remember it was in the registry site. Attachment: spinningflower.gif [ 402.26 KiB | Viewed 5949 times ] |

That's exactly what I was going for, Nidhogg. This feature is really cool; now someone needs to script it so I can rotate an object in whatever increment/deg I want so that I can re-visit Chihuly once again. lolol |

The 3D transform tool is a welcome feature making it easier to rotate on all 3 axis. Unfortunately spinning a 2-D image 360 degrees on the Z axis looks quite silly in my opinion. I wouldn't do it anyway. |

When you export as gif (or webp) you need to chose "One frame per layer (replace)" It always worked for me without "re-naming" any layers, same for the time/delay Quick example with this well known trans-neptunian object called Pluto (this is webp, I don't do gif (anymore), gif it's too huge for a so bad quality) |
