Racer-x; Given we still have this image upload problem, I realise that some members are using direct links to other hosting sites for their images.
In your case all I see in the posts are the word 'image'. Often I try to view the image by right click and 'view image'. All I then get is some Imgur screen with a sign in message but still no image - what am I doing wrong here?

Racer-x and Tin - thanks for your help; but I can still not get an image, either from the direct link provided or by right clicking on the imgur page I reach. :(

I would upload an image of the screen that appears for me as a result of above actions ... but oh dear GC is still broken.

OMG, you must have java disabled in your browser. Assuming you are using FireFox with NoScript add-on, you can temporarily allow scripts for that page.

Are you able to see my avatar and signature?

Wallace - yes thank you, I can see the eagle anim.

Racer-x : yes I can certainly see both your avatar and signature animations. I will check my Firefox settings and also try your links with my Vivaldi browser.

Thank you all for your assistance.

EDIT - OK, I can access the image from Vivaldi including the adverts - so I think that in Firefox the image is not being delivered from the Imgur link because I have Ad-blocker add-on installed. In Vivaldi I have not yet installed Ad-blocker. Thanks again guys.

Thanks PhotoMaster, but I'm far from professional. Photography is just a hobby for me. I enjoy it and every now and then, I get some great shots....

The river I shot those pictures is often populated by photographers with huge very expensive lenses mounted on expensive tripods. When I walk by with my 9 year-old camera and my 70-300mm lens, most of them just roll their eyes. Portability has it's virtues however. Some of my best shots were taken on my kayak, try doing that with a big expensive ($20,000) lens......

Ironically my lens cost me nothing. I won a photo contest and the prize was a $2,000 gift card to a camera store. The lens was one of the things I got with the winnings.
