Nice work, Ecirbaf!
Inkscape is easy to learn. Easier than GIMP.

Thank you for your encouragement, so I continued  . I practice since 2009 Inkscape and Illustrator longer. For the tutorial box I find it difficult and I am 3 hours drawing. This is the first time I try the tutorial in English translated with google (the hardest part was the screenshots in Russian :hehe ). To begin, I think these tutorials there are better explained:
Easy camera lens tutorial

PS : the work in progress :

I failed to find it easier than GIMP. :lol
I gave up about 3 or 4 minutes after I opened it. xD

A very powerful tool Gimp: paths :path . Well Inkscape only works with paths. All the tools are at your disposal to make paths but in a much more precise manner. In fact, this is my favorite software

Inkscape has much less tools to learn and its main feature - paths - is already an integral part of GIMP.
Maybe you failed because you expected Inkscape to behave like GIMP? ;)

And GIMP? Was everything clicking right from the start?
