I know i know - but i just love playing in Inkscape. :P

Anyways here is the original image i worked from.

Here is the resulting PNG from vector path sculpting. :)

You can add your own label and i also attached the zipped (RAR) file with images including the 25 or so SVG objects in an SVG file to boot!
So now you can change anything you like...or don't like.

Have fun!

Rod,

Very well done. I've seen a few of your Inkscape designs and they are all very good looking. I've never gotten in depth in using Inkscape, but your creations are inspiring, showing just how capable that program is.

:)

Thanks ccbarr!
Vexel imaging is one of my favorite things to do.Inkscape accomplishes it very well.
Getting the gradients correct is probably the hardest part of it all.
Doing the same thing in Gimp is almost impossible due to the fact that live gradient editing is not present at this time.I did try to do it in Gimp first by creating just the path lines and trying to import them into Gimp-2.6.11
Gimp imported all the path lines but they all showed up off canvas, and it seemed to be one big mess. Some paths were even missing.Gimp just doesn't handle vector real well as of yet sorry to say. :\
I love Gimp and will never change to anything different but it needs live gradient editing and better/more vector tools in my opinion.Live gradients would be a big step in the right direction. :)

Being able to see the gradient effect as you draw it out.Even as you adjust it. :)

Nice job on the reflections. Nice job all around but I think the light reflections are particularly good.

That's how Inkscape handles its gradients.Xara is the same way.I never understood why Gimp didn't adopt it.
Maybe because of the coding?

Thanks GMS. :)

As much as I hate to have to say it, Xara handles gradients better.
