I decided, after having looked at Rod's work in Inkscape, to install it and see how bad I am with it. :rofl
This is my first ever work with Inkscape, so let's hope it improves.

I have tried the beginner exercise in the online RAven...I could not even make a decent looking egg.

The SVG Font Editor in the Text menu is a hidden gem. A little tricky but worth the effort.

I want to try Inkscape so bad. I just have to sit there and download the stupid thing. Can anyone here direct me to good tutorials?

I started inkscape by following along with http://screencasters.heathenx.org/

The version in the videos is a couple years "stale" now, but the basic principals should apply.

In my browser I created the folder InkScape, in favorites.
Added the links provided here.
I'll see if I can learn to use this program.
