G'mic animation help - static layers

Sat Jul 30, 2022 9:24 am

Is it possible to use G'mic morphing animation on only one layer, leaving the rest of them as a static foreground?
I have some landscapes I want to animate (animated clouds, mist, the usual suspects), but I don't want to use G'mic's static frames to indicate static parts of the image - the image is a bit too complex for that.
I've already separated the landscape into layers and wanted to start animating but, to my surprise it appears that its impossible to animate only cloud layer leaving all others as a static foreground.

I could paste the foreground to each and every frame of animated clouds, but it seems to be rally tedious, especially with 300+ frames and several images (and no way to paste a selection to all visible layers at once).

Is there any option I'm missing here? Maybe you can recommend other software for that?

I'll be really grateful for any help!

Not sure if G'M.I.C. can do that or not but you can find the sg-combine-background.scm here https://fossil.2of4.net/_script-fu/home
That may help. :)
