can you fill text with one size dots, so that the dots are aligned in rows and colums ?

Assuming this is to apply to each sprite layer before running the Pack Sprites script

Hoping you have G'MIC installed, could I suggest ...

G'MIC > Patterns > Periodic dots applied to a blank layer

Rough settings
Number 4
Scale 5
Angle 0, or choose an angle if needed
Repeat 1
Map "None"

Dots are white on black - invert colours if needed

Use curves or threshold to make the dots sharper if needed

Add text

Select the text, invert selection

Switch active layer to the dots background, delete/clear the area outside of the text

Stroke text borders with a hard line if needed

Delete the text layer

im not sure i get you....

if i understand correctly you just made a pattern of dots and subtracted the outline of a text

thats not what i want

i want the text to be filled with symmetric rows and columns made of dots, but only complete dots
thats why i think this must be done with Pack Sprites

also, for making a pattern of dots i would use G'MIC -> Render -> Polka Dots
no need for sharpening
