Until recently, the G'MIC Artistic - Photoillustration filter at default settings gave me a result with normal colors.
Now I get a CMYK image with no C and no K! Just yellow and magenta.

This is true for both 1.5.7.2 and 1.5.8.0 G'MIC and in GIMP 2.8.2 and samj's 2.8.10. Also true for some other filters including Artistic - Watercolor. I waited for a few weeks thinking this was a bug that would be corrected soon and kept updating my filters with optimism, but nobody else seems to have this problem. Could this be related to multi-thread processing?

I am on Windows 7 using 64-bit builds. Working in RGB color with no color management. Nothing outside G'MIC is broken. Any ideas? Thanks.

I tested 1.5.7.2 in 2.6.11 and I got a bland washed out image rather than a photoillustration, so you are not alone.

It should be broken by some recent gmic update

That is a filter from Tom Keil i believe he doesn't follow GC so for a quick reply/fix you may try to repost on the Gmic group of flickr.

Thanks, I've posted on the Flickr forum. I haven't noticed a problem with any of your filters, but I'll let you know if I find anything. Not easy to keep up with 500+ filters, not even as a user. As a developer it must be mind-boggling!

Thanks it should have been fixed now.
It was a problem with the way the Gamma parameter has been modified recently in filter 'channel processing' (which is used by the tom keil's filters).
