O, I didn't do that. I didn't set anything, just ran it a default, thanks Warrior, I will try it again in the morning.

Is it possible to retain the two layers so the top layer is modified but not blended with the bottom layer?

This would make manual fine tuning in GIMP much easier.

Iain : no, actually, I don't know how I can keep two layers. The algorithm reconstruct a merged gradient field and so reconstruct an entire image, where potentially all pixels of the background have been modified too.

It would look nice as a banner or poster. 8.1 has killed G'mic now, so please beware of low flying laptops :)

I am with you on that Graechan. I had to move back to windoze :hehe because of incompatibility (my side).
I wish i could find a good portable Linux tho.
Windoze doesnt appear to utilize my 9gb of ram :hoh

I never heard of 9 GB ram, I thought it went from 8 to 16.
