For color effects on polygons I added a decomposition into triangles.

(This is the same principle as the stars and flowers.)

nice job samj. Here is one rendition of your polygon. I would like to try later to make in the shape of a gem, I guess that would take some perspective work, and also play with the modes a bit.

Draw a flower 2 animation (animation_fleur2.gif) : This animation is made with Gimp (without GAP).
I like "FFMPEG" to assemble videos from images.
Gimp is good for animated GIFs.

Here are two new filters for G'MIC / Gimp

"Traits_Strokes" & "Spirographe_samj"

Filtres > G'MIC > Testing > Samj > Traits_Strokes
Filtres > G'MIC > Testing > Samj > Spirographe_samj

In this example the filter "Traits_Strokes" is applied in the corners of the image and the filter "Spirographe_samj" in the center of the image.

All your filters are very interesting ....
Only there is a small problem:Translation and preview
When using the filter long names (the name of the English / French name) - the monitor 21 "that does not fit ...
The translation is very important - but maybe instead of the name of the English / French name - give two separate versions - with sign language
