right click on start > left click on explore > look for your version of gimp > click the plus (+) beside it and go down the list until you see plugins. look to see if gmic is there.

If I remember correctly, GMIC comes with two plug-ins and 4 or 5 other files. They all have to go into that plugin folder.Image

If you download looks like this, put all those files into that plug-in folder you posted........ then reboot your gimp.

They all go in the plug-in folder and it looks to me like they are already there.
they should work whether they are in 2.0 or 2.6 but not in both........

I can't understand why you can't see it yet in Gimp cuz if they are all in your Gimp plugin folder, you should see them under filters. The only other thing I would try now is to reboot your whole PC. Maybe someone that is more techie than me will step in. (saulgoode) :)

I have mine in 2.6 plug-in folder. but they will work in either place, whether it is 2.6 or 2.0 as long as you put all the ones in you downloaded. (not the whole folder, just what is inside) Do Not put them in both folders, just one

i left my gmic folder in my document, i just used preferences to add a new folder path
in case of plugin that have many files (Gmic, Mathmap, i prefer this method)

should work also using the default gimp folder but then is more easy mess something
