I just discovered Gmic on my Gimp menus. Forgot I had installed it amonths ago.
Tried it out first time today. having some issues.
I can open a picture, open Gmic and can play with a filter or two and see the effect. Then the
Gmic window closes. If I try to reopen Gmic, the window opens for a second then closes.
The only way I can get Gmic to open properly again is to restart Gimp.
But, Gmic always crashes again the same way.

Any possible solutions?

I am running Mint 14 Nadia
Gimp 2.8.1

If you are not lucky, you have maybe downloaded the G'MIC plug-in in the last hour or so, and you have got a version with a major bug.
That's my fault, and I've just corrected it.
Maybe you should try to re-install the latest version of the plug-in, and tell us if that solves your problem.
If this is not the case, please tell us a bit more about your configuration (which OS, which version of GIMP, and so on...).

Thanks, reinstalled with the new version. No problems, looks like a lot of fun............
