as a beginner I was surprise by this excellent filter that you can find in Gmic>Sequences ( take care that it's an animation)

@Molly - yes but I have only 5GB with the satellite provider so I try to limit my uploads!

Yes, that is a good one. I prefer it. His rain and animated snow is also very good.
My sig is done with his rain one. I could have slowed it down to a drizzle.
