Hi! I'm using G'MIC 1.5.7.1 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 14.04 Linux. I'm using the Polaroid Frame to create some CD insert art. The Polaroid Frame renders just fine but it has a drop shadow I would like to exclude from the render of the frame.

Is it possible to render the Polaroid Frame without the drop shadow?

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance!

Tom

If you mean by polaroid frame, the white frame that appears around polaroid images, there's an easy way to do this with just another layer. Fill a new layer with white (or suitably yellowed polaroidish off color.) Alpha to select this layer (or select all will work too.) Go to shrink selection by a few pixels. This shrinking size will depend on the size of your image overall; experiment. Then delete selection from the white layer. Gaussian blur by 1 or 2 to soften the cut-off edge a little and you're done. Polaroid frame, no drop shadow.

I don't think you can exclude the drop shadow, try this after you use G'MIC.
Right select the Polaroid layer, choose Alpha to Selection.
Select menu | Invert
Edit menu | Clear

Thanks for the replies! I tried both methods and both worked wonderfully!
