Gives a very heavy red output. This preset had this problem before but was fixed. Not sure why this problem came back again. :)

Example of what I'm referring too.

Could be a cool result, but I use the behavior of the original paint preset for other things. :)

Indeed it is David (after a refresh that is). Still, I can see the previous result useful for hypersaturated painting renders. Thanks a heap. :)

OK; ran paint again and it reverted back so I checked my roaming folder and saw that the new update is now named gimp_update1610.gmic instead of update1610.gmic. Again, deleting both and refreshing fixed the loose update situation. Not sure why the file got renamed to gimp_update1610.gmic. Maybe a new feature to delete the {current gmic version}.gmic file every time you run the refresh option would address this issue. Not sure if can be done based on how G'MIC currently works though. :)

Yes Lyle, the update file has been renamed.
Now, there are two different update files, one for the plug-in and one for the cli interface. It allowed me to compress the update files a bit more, so downloading them is faster (and since auto-update is now enabled in the plug-in, this is somewhat desirable :)).

Ahh; OK David. So now we don't have to refresh for update if I understand you correctly. Cool. With the new way updates are delivered, it's much faster then the old. :)

Exactly Lyle, the plug-in will check regularly if new updates are available and if so, download the new filters automatically.
Yon can still force the updates manually by pressing the 'Refresh' button of course, in case you know there is a new filter before the plug-in :)

David,
could you double-check whether this possibility to force the refresh manually isn't in conflict with the automatic refresh?
I mean: with the "manual" action one of the file is updated ("gimp...."), the other is not,
and it seems that this fact creates some problem because:
- by clicking to update I got the new Samj filter (which was not there)
- tested
- disappeared at a second attempt
Thus I closed Gimp, deleted the second file ("update..."), restarted Gimp (samj's new filter was not there in spite of the fact that in the file "gimp...." WAS there) , so I repeated the steps and:
- now it stays there (doesn't disappear...)
- the "update..." file has been recreated with samj's new filter in (as in "gimp....")
Is it possible that the separation of the updates creates conflicts?
thanks

@dinasset : could you try to install latest 1.2.0_pre version I've released today ? I think this definitely fixes this issue.

OK, David, thanks, just installed.
I'll let you know if everything OK (need of a new filter not yet included, to replicate the case)

@dinasset : the latest samj filter is in fact not included in this version of the plug-in binary, so if you see it in the list, it is probably because of the automatic update (that occured when your first run the plug-in).
You should be able to completely delete your update1620.gmic file as it is of no use anymore.
