Hello folks,

A little announcement : new G'MIC version 2.1.9 has been released today. That's the final step toward the next major version 2.2.0, and it actually contains already most of the new features we wanted to add in 2.2.0.
I'd be interested by your tests and feedback on this version !

You can check the changelog here : https://discuss.pixls.us/t/on-the-road-to-2-2-0/

Enjoy!

What files do you move into the plugin folder after unzipping the folder?

There is information on the G'mic site, including a video on installation.

If using the zip rather than the installer. Unzip to some folder that is not your gimp profile plugins main folder, usually C\Users\your-name\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins. Needs to go somewhere else.

A sub-folder same as the installer will do, or some other new folder because you need to go to Edit -> Preferences -> Folders -> Plug-ins and add that location.

Um, that's not what i asked.
I need to know what files to move after unzipping the folder.
In the past, i moved these files,
gmic-gimp
libfftw3.dll
libgomp
libpng3
libpthread-2
libstdc..6
libwinpthread-1dll
libjpeg-9-dll
libgcc_sdw
Which ones do i move now? The file that is missing is libjpeg-9-dll, unless it has been renamed.

Which old version of G'mic are you using?
Give me a clue and I will give you a listing of files. You need to purge all the old files and install the latest gimp-gmic according to the procedure shown on the gmic site.

i'm using gmic-gimp 2.1.9-win64
I just recently installed this version tonight. i was unware that everything has changed now.
The gmic site should provide more details on what dll./lib files to move now. It would help in the future, especially for Windows users.

That is not what I asked, which earlier version
Since your previous post references gimp_gmic then probably ver. 1.7.x the newer ver. 2 are gimp_gmic-gtk/qt

These are the files from gimp_gmic 1.7 you could try removing all of them but since you have totally mixed up with the new gmic, some job.
Might be easier to identify your other plugins, back those up and delete everything else. Then install gimp_gmic according to the procedure on the gmic website. Best of luck

COPYING
gmic_film_cluts.gmz
gmic_gimp.exe
libcurl-4.dll
libeay32__.dll
libeay32.dll
libfftw3-3.dll
libgcc_s_seh-1.dll
libgomp-1.dll
libpng16-16.dll
libssh2-1__.dll
libstdc++-6.dll
libwinpthread-1.dll
pthreadGC2-w64.dll
README
ssleay32.dll
zlib1__.dll
zlib1.dll

You misread my post, btw. All those file names were from Windows 7 pc. Which I no longer use. I use Windows 10 now. I have the newer version unzipped. All im asking is what dll./lib files to move to plugin folder.

"gmic_gimp_qt".

That's the only file I have in my plugin folder. It works fine here.

It's not working.
There is missing file applications from the zipped version. Without those files, i can't get gmic to work.

No problems with the Illustration Look filter here running Linux x64. Did you try refreshing the filters?
