Hello, I feel like I've tried everything and I'm out of ideas.

Trying to install G'MIC on GIMP 2.8.22 (Using current Windows 10), I downloaded the G'MIC plugin for GIMP 2.8 and installed it to the plugins folder. Then I followed the procedure outlined in the instruction video where I go to Edit>Preferences and add the "gmic_gimp_qt" folder to the list of plugins and hit OK.

However, when I quit GIMP and re-open it, G'MIC will not appear in the filter list. I've tried downloading both the zip and install files for G'MIC. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Nothing works yet.

Just a thought, did you download the correct version of g'mic? On the download page, there is a separate download for 2.8.22 and for the 2.10 versions of Gimp that you are using? Check to see if you have the correct g'mic.
Also, go to Help in your main menu and click on plug-in browser. See if your g'mic is found there. If it installed, it will be found there.

Thanks for the reply. I am using GIMP 2.8.22 . I have tried installing both the 2.8 version and 2.10 version offered on the website. Neither of them are working, and neither of them appear in the plugin browser. Any other ideas?

So it seems that it is not installed. Did you use the installer? Or did you get the zip file and Unzipped, put in plug-in folder? Also, do you have just one plug-in folder that all goes into?

Is this a 32 bit version of Window 10?

The gmic_gimp main download is 64 bit and will not work?

On the Gmic page bottom, "browse all files"

Another thing you could do is download gimp from https://www.partha.com/ , it already has GMIC in it. He only does 64bit ones though.

It turns out I am running 32-bit Windows, and I had to install the version specifically for 32-bit. I used the link you gave me to download the 32-bit version, and that appears to be working for me.
