https://discuss.pixls.us/ is on vacation :cool (unavailable) so I'm posting here:

A little problem (Gimp-2.10.34 Win 64bit, G'MIC-QT -3.2.6)

Testing ➤ PhotoComix ➤ Wild Cartoonizer

If use Output mode = in place
add new layer

If use Output mode = new layers or new active layers or new image
creates two new layers

The link provided seems to give errors.
Reloading the page also gives the same error.

Yes. This occurs with me using G'MIC 3.2.3#pre230408 and G'MIC 3.2.7. The layer doubling is annoying but apparently harmless. The plug-in operates as advertised, otherwise. If time permits this week, perhaps I can address the issue. Thank you for noticing and posting.

As for discuss.pixls.us, I have little to add. The last activity I had with the site was Thursday, 7/13 at about 18:00 UTC; it was dark by 7/14, 10:00 UTC and remains so at this writing. The site `patdavid.net`, served by the same host, is also dark. I hope all is well with Pat.

Still down :(

Five Oh Three
You are seeing this because patdavid lost our 503 page and darix is probably working on something, but oh well the weather is nice outside.

Progress, though. That means a basic web server is running, but the web application isn't up yet. (As of this writing, 16:27 UTC, the root page is up, but discuss.pixls.us still shows "503."

Thank you for the progress link, nelo.

Miss PC; hard to believe it's now over a decade since I've seen any post from him.

Don't often check PixLS (when I don't, after a few weeks I usually get an email sent to me telling all the new posts there; lol). Had no idea the site went dark; hope all's right. PatDavid is a member here; hopefully someone sent him a PM to see what's going on. :)

Updated in 3.2.7 (Currently pre-release)
Merge branch fixphotocomix: Wild Cartoonizer

A one-line fix following Tas-Mania's suggestion in this thread: 2021-15-February, GMIC Wild cartoonizer Photocomix.
I suspect PC intended to blend the two images into one as a final step; educated guess that an overlay blend best fit his purposes. Because of the blend, there are vanishingly small differences between this and 3.2.6 behavior.

Available with a filter update to those on the 3.2.7 bleeding edge; generally available when 3.2.7 goes fully live. Take care.

I didn't know it was such an old problem.
All the more thanks for solving it. :tyspin
After updating filters in GMIC 3.2.6 it works as expected. :bigthup
