I've been trying to use the Anisotropic filter in gmic and keep getting the following error. I've been trying to spruce up some beveled text, similar but not identical to This Tut, I've been doing it successfully in the past but this time it's not working. Any ideas as to what that error means?

Are you trying to launch it from the faves menu? I find some of them don't work and I have to search everywhere else for the same filters.

What version of GMIC?
Have you refreshed your GMIC filters lately?

You might try checking your layer conditions, just fishing here but I have inadvertantly forgotten to turn of the lock on the alpha channel before and had problems with other filters. Have you tried it with and without a selection? Just guessing.

No,it wasn't from my favorites, it was the current version of gimp, whatever that is. Yes, I refreshed the filters. No, I didn't try it with a selection. Layer conditions might be a factor, I've tried several combinations but might not have done it right. Sorry my answers have been so abrupt, this is a really bad and painful morning.
