When attempting to update G'MIC filters an error message pops up with a list of the source websites stating 'unable to reach filter sources'. Any suggestions to correct this? Thanks.

Have you had this trouble before?
Could it be that your firewall (router firewall) or some sort of PeerBlock software prevent access to those websites?
Some anti-virus software have built-in Firewall that is a real pain in the butt.

I disabled my anti-virus firewall protection. The problem persists. That's about as far as my technical skills willl allow. I'll try to reinstall gmic. In fact I have so many error message with gimp in general that I just might just scrap the whole thing and start from scratch.

If your getting many errors with Gimp it's could be something other than G'MIC.
Try to start Gimp with gimp-console --verbose from a command prompt and post your list.

i'm getting the same errors. i had to re install gimp then once i reinstalled the G'mic plugin it no longer connects to the sites

Where do you have G'MIC installed? G'MIC should be in your user folder. For example, [Users]\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins

I reinstalled gimp and gmic, working fine now.

sure, everything has been installed properly, if a re-install worked for brucepr5150 i'll give that a go see what happens

Edit: just re-installed the g'mic plugin and it seems to work fine now
