A new version of G'MIC, numbered 1.5.5.1, has been released.

http://www.flickr.com/groups/gmic/discu ... 962443902/The main new feature of this version is the Inpainting [patch-based] filter that you will find in section 'Enhancement/' (in the GIMP plug-in), associated to a new native command -repair (for users of the CLI interface 'gmic'). It allows the reconstruction of missing image regions (defined by the user) by a quite smart algorithm that tries to automatically copy/paste and blend patches located around the masked area, You can see some examples of use below. The implementation of this filter is partially based on the code done by +Maxime Daisy during his Master thesis. Maxime is now a PhD student working in the image team at the GREYC laboratory (CNRS UMR 6072), in Caen / France. So thanks to him for his contribution to G'MIC !
