How could I compile the g'mic.tar.gz file in fedora 19?.
I didn't see any instructions in the README file.

It's impossible to me install g'mic (or that g'mic works) from any gmic_version_linux64.zip.

With Debian (64) and Mint (32) I have not problems.

In order for GMIC to work properly, you will need to install libpng12 from the Fedora repositories.

I tried this before using a r.p.m. package but it wouldn't be the correct one (libpng-1.5.13-7.1.x86_64).

Yes. I have to remember to install that package every time I upgrade to a new version of Fedora. G'MIC requires an older version of libpng in order to work properly and it's not installed by default in Fedora Linux.
