If you have any suggestion or request for Knotter, you can ask here.

I'll do my best to satisfy every need ;)

Gram's been doing some cool perspective renders w/ Knotter and that reminded me of 3D surfaces for whatever reason. Eventually, it would be cool to be able to surface 3D objects with a Knotter surface as opposed to a wireframe. This, of course, maybe many generations from now, but still it would be cool.

That aside, something that maybe able to be implemented sooner is arbitrary brushes (other then the dash or solid ones offered). What I mean is stroke the lines witha bitmap brush such as a real rope texture brush for instance.

Anyway, just some thoughts Mattia and am glad that the ops decided to create this corner of GIMPChat for Knotter. :)

A texture brush is possible to achieve, I think there's already an open ticket for that and gradients as well.

For Gimp in Ubuntu "Paste" from Clipboard - option png with alpha - works.
For Win XP does not.
Can you add to Cliboard - tiff?

I'm wondering if we could have knots with more threads like real Celtic knotwork.

http://knotter.mattbas.org/download/knotter-git.tar.gz works for me. Try to download it again, it may have been corrupted on the download.
One thing to note though, I'm rewriting the way the style is handled so some styling won't work properly.

I doubt this can happen in the near term.
Meanwhile, you can replicate that with carefully placed nodes.

Thank you Mattia !
It was a problem with my internet connection.
Unfortunately - for the GIMP (only in Windows 32) as tiff does not want to work.
Only for Krita it works ....
Sure, bmp and jpg not handle Gimp (for Windows)?
What remains - the option to send ...

Since you'd lose alpha is better to go with export.

I have not done much in Knotter these last months but I'm getting back on track.

Now Knotter uses different style features for edges and nodes.

I've finished re-writing the style editing functions. Now I only need to update the file save and Knotter from git will be fully functional again.

Here is a preview of the new default layout:

I've split the selection style dialog in two parts to reflect the internal change.
Is this interface change good or bad?

Hi! Nice to see you working on Knotter again. :)
I like it this way with two different dialogs. Is it available for compile yet?

Very nice. Shouldn't the version be higher than 0.9.5 though with these new additions?

Also is it possible to add a movable slider option for the image window? For smaller or larger dialog views.
Example-

Never mind DUH it has one already. :)

I've never released 0.9.5, that's why it still has that number.
Now that I've changed some pretty significant part during the development of 0.9.5 I'll finish implementing the features that have been broken by the change and then release it officially.
I was originally planning to make this the final release before 1.0 (maybe with 0.9.6 for eventual bug fixes) but now I think there may be another intermediate release.
And I was hoping to release 1.0 before 2014 but I doubt that will be the case.
