The foreground was painted using my grass brush https://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17590#p241372
This forest brush is designed to be used small and with distance colours such as desaturated blues.

It's nice to have plenty of foliage, trees, grass and flower brushes to choose from.
I always pick them up, whenever I can.
