I used Molly's tutorial, "Creating (water) drops with GIMP" viewtopic.php?f=23&t=10046#p131443
To make the droplets in this brush.
Thanks Molly!
Here's a preview image of what the brush can do.

You will need to set the layer mode to "Overlay" to create this effect using this brush.

Do you think you can give the brush a try, to see how it works for you?

Well... we'll see if it can work of you as it did for me. ;)

I like it okay. I personally think a single drop into a brush would be better though. Can always change the size. I have a hard time getting "even" placement of the drops. I also tried displacement mapping, to get the drops to go with the apple contours, but wasn't very successful.

I hear you. I did make a single water-drop brush.

Can you suggest how I can add these "highlights" to the droplets of my animated brush?

It can't be done if the layer is or brush is set to overlay, it would have to be added after like Molly suggested.

This is what the brush looks like and all layers have a normal mode.
You're saying that I could add more highlights to these droplets?

I add a layer at the top and put the hi litres in one by one Wallace. That is the only way I know.
