Figure since I found this opensource implementation which uses Python, maybe some python gurus here can help. :)

Got the above link from the cool article below (and they have even more impressive examples):

Looks really good. What are you thinking, a plugin that takes a fuzzy frame and produces a super-res from it?

Looks like the download link is out of service at the moment :( Working now.

Will have a read of the documentation meantime, looks quite heavy though, there's no "load a fuzzy png, process and write a super image" function and there's no examples of how to assemble the supreme library functions to come produce something useful. Maybe in download?

It uses IPhython, so may be a non-runner for Gimp.

Very interesting lyle!
I have d/led it from git and am now installing the dependencies from Gentoo.
Then I'll install it and see what gives.

Step7 why is ipython a nono for gimp?

Gerard.

Can IPython integrate with Gimp? I'm very new to this side of Gimp so genuinely don't know. If it can't there is still the work around of writing modules which provide the extras found in IPython. All in all it's a man-sized project but very worthy :)

I suppose the libraries could be installed to your site packages and then imported into a python module or plugin.
