I just read a linked article on gimp.org about crowdfunding for an extension manager project and discovered you can support the developers directly on gimp.org as well.

Must say this always went under my radar...

So i was wondering: what are your thoughts on crowdfunding and are you actually donating money ?

I think the guys/gals who are contributing to Gimp (making it work for us) are all doing it on their own backs. I  do not donate but I think it is a good thing to do. I actually would if I found it easy to do so. I guess they are only asking for a donation not a subscription.

ps. I have only seen the 'donate a hot chocolate' on G'MIC. Must say I haven't for gimp.

I make it a point, to donate what I can twice a year.
Once in January and again in December.
I believe the suggested donation is like 20-25 dollars.
Been doing it this way for years.

See https://www.gimp.org/donating/

The "Paypal" option lets you donate with a credit card (no Paypal account required for this). You can also send cheques.

I think this was covered about five years ago. Search is your friend.

The CC option helps. I have tried a couple times to open a paypal account but couldn't and I don't have a checkbook. Anyway I have now done it!
