During my recent searches for starting to draw on gimp I have come across this tutorial, ok so it uses Krita in the tut, but all the settings translate easy enough to gimp.

Hope you find it useful

@he4rty, remember that for GNU/Linux there are currently two modules for wacom tablet configuration (KDE and GNOME):
http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entr ... jor-update
http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entr ... om-tablets

For GIMP you can configure pressure sensitivity curve from Edit > Input Devices, chose your tablet and click on pressure. Usually tablet should be set to Screen mode. Also you can configure pressure behavior and curve from brush dynamics.

Yafu - thanks for the info, I didn't really do to much research into tablets when I got mine and brought a trust tablet (Which is very good) but just doesn't have the support of Wacom. I have tried before to calibrate via the desktop and some other downloads but no joy, fortunately gimp recognises it and so I'm able to calibrate through gimp.
