Hello Photo Comix.
I did nothing els than upload.
If your father have a new mac you need to open up Finder- Menu- Go (before Windows) and scroll down to The House/Home Put your mouse pointer over The House and press Alt - and there you find the library.
Select the Gimpfile and you supose to find everything in there.

Must be a misunderstanding, i know where is the gimp user folder (that you call library) on MAC , that anyway don't contain the gimp program's files but is a empty storage place where the user (i.e you) may add extra add on

What you was looking for instead was another , different gimp folder that should be in "Applications" and that contain the real program...

Anyway i don't use MAC ...well i may even do, but i do very seldom , almost only to help my father if stumble on some problems on his computer, i use Windows and Linux and i have no personal interest for MAC

Hello again.
PhotoComix. There is plenty of ways to store things and many libraries, depending wich mac Old/New you have
At Finder-Apps you can only store your apps. Yes. After each download Mac create automatically a folder/file but not inside apps. You need to go to the pages there Application support is. If you look you se a file with name Gimp. Fill up the stuff you ned to have för Gimp.
Lurifax.

PhotoComix. On my new iMac iMac I follow these procedures when I download apps and how to get to their folders. Try.
Thanks.

lurifax73: i think many members "cheat" and use inkscape or blender now and then :). we don't seem to have a subforum for blender discussions, but we do have one for "other open source graphic software" - you should post that motor thingy there, it would probably get more attention there than in this thread.
