Hi my Friends, I need to know if I should stop making tuts. I don't see as many feedbacks and results as I once sought them. My impression is that I'm making and posting them too fast. In anyway, I will like to hear from you Guys. :otb

We need your tutorials and the site needs your tutorials. The frequency of you posting them is your choice.
Personally I look forward to seeing if there are any new tutorials made by you.
If they interest me or not is another concern, but with that aside... I would miss your participation and the process. More often than not, just seeing your tutorials inspires me; It causes me to think creatively.
Bottom line, for me anyway is, without your tutorials GC and us as member would be the losers.

True Wallace.
There are even those (guests) who come to this site just to see what they can do with gimp. GC is a great resource for many things and Tutorials are also part of those resources.
Keep it up Conbagui - sorry if I don't comment always but be assured your work is always looked on with admiration.

I agree. :clap
I don't see many people here jumping at the chance to stick their necks out and make tutorials for us like you do Conbagui. ;)

you do text tuts
in that we find, quite an artistic
flare. I am sure tux, and this site
have statistic on your replies,
and a more important, number of how
many times your files are downloaded,
you also add fonts, and incites on
how to use gimp, to make artistic designs,
and your creative comments would be missed.

Thank You, for all you have done!

I enjoy your tuts. I think they inspire people to get creative and do things their way when they complete your tutorials.

Conbagui - don't stop. I have a folder full of GET-TO tutorials and a large number of them are yours.
As Sally Anne states many guests come to learn and as MikeChat says - the numbers. Personally I store the web page and the pdf. (links etc)
I always look forward to your next treat ;-}

Although I’m not always posting my outcomes most of them I try to create.
I have a special folder to store them. I’m learning a lot about Gimp, all different and new techniques.
I don’t always understand everything, the language remains a little difficulty.
So I can’t always explain exactly what I mean and hesitate to give some feedback
Here and at other GC members.

Before I was registered I visited this forum.
So keep up the good work! :bigthup :hi5

And thanks again for all I’ve already learned from you, Conbagui :tyspin

Conbagui, you are so especial, generous and talented person. Please, don't stop doing your tutorials, I've been abroad and I haven't been able to do your last tutus, but I'll do them as soon as possible. I found this forum, thanks to you and your good job. You are a resource of ideas and I've learnt so many things from you, so I'll be always thankful to you. :) :tyspin :gimp

Pace yourself and have fun doing and sharing, but please don't stop Conbagui. Do always enjoy your tuts; may not always respond though (work et. al. makes me a dull boy of late). :)

Same here. I may not respond much as i have not got much time to get om my laptop anymore let alone do any GIMP stuff. keep them coming and as Lyle stated pace yourself and know that even if folks don't respond they may still be doing the tutorials.
Thanks!

you got already a lot of encouraging answers, so -just to attempt a kind of constructive criticism- my comment on your request is:
- go on creating tutorials, always very well done and largely instructive, but..
- what about applying your excellent experience to non-text related outcomes?
a challenge, maybe...

conbagui, I follow all your tutorials. Sometimes I do not publish the results because they do not add anything in terms of innovation. I always learn something new when I follow your tutorials. I wish you continued to write tutorials.

Oh please don't stop conbagui. I've learned so much from your tutorials and continue to do so. Unfortunately, I'm not as creative nor do I know enough about lighting, shadows, placement and filters so I'm a little wary about posting personal "concoctions" therefore, I go looking for your tutorials. ;)

Looking forward to the rest of your tutorials. :paint

My opinion is, do not stop making new tuts. This is not my only Gimp (and other) forum I participate. But in all I can see a drop in commitment by the users over, especially, this summer months. Perhaps you publish less in June, July and August, so the interested Gimper does not have to work through long threads.

Good continuation

I don't think that is the issue. Personally, I find that almost all of your tutorials rely heavily on LayerFX, which is a great set of tools. However, there are numerous other scripts, plug-ins and techniques, which in many cases, can produce even better and/or more interesting results than LayerFX.

My suggestion would be to broaden your horizon and incorporate other tools and techniques into your tutorials. :cool

I have a similar (a little) dilemma.
At home forum http://www.gimpuj.info/ explain the most interesting plugins.
The interest is minimal.
I have only the satisfaction - have shared their work with others.
Never too much new knowledge - I'm waiting for the next Gimp Tutorials :hi5 .

Nononono keep making tutorials! I personally don't "follow" them but sometimes I look at the images and maybe read a little to get an idea of it and keep it in a mental folder. We use it even if it's not posted in your threads!

I think you should make the tutorials when and if you want. I hope you are making them because you like to do it just for yourself and to share, and not because you wish anyone to do them and post the results. Personally, even if I do not do them, I read them and often pick up new tidbits of information on Gimp. Even when I do some of the tuts, I rarely post them. And having a Mac means I cannot use some of the newer scripts, at least not until Partha compiles a newer version, but I still pick up new information from reading.

@MareroQ
Is it possible to access the link you posted selecting the English language?
I didn't find where to click to change the language from Polish
Thanks
