Not been around for a while, lots of reasons but during my brief spell away I have purchased a Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet and keyboard. The tablet runs windows 8.1rt so you can only install apps from the windows store, legacy apps can't be installed. The tablet comes with office 2013 preinstalled anyway so couldn't really see much need for anything else, the only thing I would of liked was GIMP.

So I have installed the app Teamviewer on the tablet and installed the desktop version on my home pc running Ubuntu 14.04. It was fairly simple to set up not yet looked at how to wake up the desktop but here is GIMP running via a remote desktop on the windows tablet.
