I like to mess around building computers in Gimp.
The problem I have is getting the scaling just right.
I got a millimeter rule off of google images but it scales terrible.
It was a jpg. , I used irfanview to change it to .tif
It works a little better but still gets blurry scaling.
Is there a better format to use.
I need a millimeter rule I can scale.

post a piece of the source, the scale you like to have
someone will try to find an acceptable outcome (if possible)

You'd be better getting a vector graphic of the rule and generating the raster version at the scale you require each time.

If you need to create the graphic, Inkscape is the application of choice.

Here's an Inkscape created rule (see attachment)

Exported from Inkscape at 1000 pixels wide:

I didn't know G'MIC had that, it works pretty good.
Thank You
