Has anyone besides me been having trouble with the Windows 64 bit release? Specifically the node point deformation tool (in playground) The only version of GIMP-2.9 i can get the node tool to work in is Parthas portable. All others including the newest release executable from gimp.org the tool crashes GIMP entirely when i click the layer to get a grid.

This a Win7 VM with limited resources 2 GB memory assigned.

n-point very slow on anything other than small images. This 2200x2200 with grid density set to 80, just about usable.

If you have the number of threads set more than one, that causes crashes. Edit -> Preferences -> System Resources.

Some comparisons in previous post. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=15844&start=10#p219536

Confirmed also... Another thing I've found, that crashes GIMP 2.9.6 simply by clicking on it, is Filters>Distorts>Kaleidoscope.

EDIT - Just changed to 1 thread only {in the Preferences ) and Kaleidoscope is working fine... not checked node point deformation tool as yet.
