Is there a filter in Gimp or Gmic similar to this?

Is something like this what you were looking for? It's a tweaked version of an old Script-Fu. Appears to work. My regrets but I don't seem to have an archived copy of the original file and haven't been able to find one online. No idea what the original file and menu names may have been.

Thanks. Got the answer at Pixls. Split details (Wavelets) in GMIC does it too. Didn't need to ask the question just had to search and it had been asked there a few times.
