Hey Partha how did you add the apng file in?
Did you install it after compiling Gimp-2.7.4 or during?

I just want to compile the ones that are still NOT compiled for windows. :)

No, I added it to the source tree. But you can compile it after as well.

are not compiled for 2.6
are compiled for 2,7 and included with the Partha build, ( i didn't look in the last but i imagine are still there )

About other plugin there is the mysterious Van Gogh plugin that is in Artistic filter,( but is not a artistic filter does something close to a blur or fog effect...but here the problem is not that the preview is too little , but that is not: there is no any preview (and that in my opinion make totally useless a filter already not too useful )

the other have no problems with preview

Would you place the src files in the plug-ins/common folder for that?

Rob,

Did you patch libpng to be able use apng? If not, you are probably better off first getting a successful compile. Then we can worry about apng. Send me an email and we can take the conversation offline.

Thanks,
Partha

Check it out ... i compiled my first Gimp-2.7.4!
http://simplysignage.110mb.com/blog/blo ... 118-090543

You will find more Gimp-2.7.4 plugins in the left menu also. :)
I will be doing much, much more in the future.

My build environment is setup for Gimp-2.7 though so nothing Gimp-2.6 will be compiled.
SamJ does most of those anyways.

Peace!

great Rod
..maybe you want try with gimpainter ?
http://git.sourceforge.jp/view?p=gimp-p ... ;a=summary

now the pressure issue with the tablet should be fix so have gimpainter compiled for 2,7 would be cool
the gimpainter source should be keep in sync with the gimp 2.7 git

GPL, and some other things (apng for one)
Thanks for the link to the git src files PC. :)

Okay i created an installer.
Anyone want to test it? :lol
I already did on my Windows 32 XP system and it worked excellent.
Just a few things to mention
1) If you want python it is enabled you just need Python27 installed.
2) On launch there are 2 errors for TIFF images load and save.Just delete the tiff plugins in the plug-ins folder.
file-tiff-load.exe and file-tiff-save.exe
I will fix this later.Or keep them.Gimp runs fine without them you just can not use Tiff images for some reason.I do not know why this occurs as i have the Tifflibs installed and working.(they should have compiled correctly).
I will either fix this or remove the tiff plugins all together later.
3) This install default installs into C:\Program Files\Gimp-2.7.4
4) There is no shortcut created on the desktop either so you will have to create your own.
5) This install also creates a debug window (development default). This is a usual occurrence for debugging Gimp on launch, and while executing commands while Gimp runs.

That is about it other than if on launch PLUGINS do not load - set the PATH variable.
C:\Program Files\Gimp-2.7.4\gimp-2.7.4\bin

Any takers? :)
Below url takes you to download page. (28.9 mb)

Right now I have, Gimp 2.6.11, Python 2.7.2 installed. Of course Python script are not working. If this is a new version of Gimp that works with Python 2.7.2, I'll try it. I'm guessing Gimp 2.7.4 will work in parallel with 2.6.11? I'm running Vista.

Probably not (in the installer) certain files:
.....................
libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll
libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll
libglib-2.0-0.dll
libintl-8.dll
.....................

I have only tested it in my Windows 32 bit XP platform.
I have Gimp-2.6.11 and my Gimp-2.7.4 installed side by side with no conflicts. :)
Gimp 2.7.4 is the latest git development version of the Gimp-2.7 series Odinbc.

If you keep those DLL files within their own program directories they should not conflict with one another.

Thanks PC. :)
As i said i installed it on my machine with no problems first to test it.Just be sure and delete/move the tiff plugins i mentioned before and there will be no errors when Gimp loads.I am going to try another compile in a couple weeks.
(if the new Gimp-2.8 isn't out yet)
