Actually (except for some weirdness with
Mathmap Filter Factor (user filter) Convertor since I have to have PSPI), I'm liking 2.8 64-bit more and more. It's yet crashed on me; did go unstable once though, but I was able to controllably close then re-open it (did so from waking from hibernate). I can't tell you how many times (a day sometimes) GIMP 2.6x would lock up on me and it's really fustrating when I was in the middle of an edit. My only guess is that going 64-bit helps with the lock up issue for whatever reason. What I don't like is not being able to directly save png/jpgs anymore, but I can live with that. What I really like about 2.8 64-bit is it's backwards compatibility with 32-bit GIMP plugins. Not even PS allows this (see my post about that
here). Oh yeah; one more thing. GIMP 2.8 64-bit launches about 2 to 3 times faster then 2.6x did (and that's not an understatement).
