Bonjour,

Here is the result of an experiment to simulate the path of a XY plotter.

Filters > Les Chemins Colores ... The explanations are in French at the beginning of the script.

dup ran G'MIC Paint then ran adaptive Edge detect on both layers setting top layer to darken. Did some selective background removal and ran Potrace on the result. :)

Here is an example done by transforming paths -> selections and then filling the selection with a pattern.
