since we are in theme...
which is the "del" key ?
I tough was that to cancel last letters typed ( that with a sort of thick arrow with inside a little "x") just below "return"

( i am fighting with a bios that refuse to open the boot options...
instead then usual press F-something for..., press F-something-else for... , and so on it says only
-press "del" to open set up- but that never, never works)

One day typing itself will be obsolete (just put a head device on and think the words out; they are already working on it). Always can talk too (Dragon naturally Speaking), but don't like this option. I still rather type (typos be damned; lol). :)

When booting your computer PC, some systems require the <del> key pressed to get into BIOS. I've seen a lot of other combos too. If you have a bios password locking you out, you may try to remove the BIOS battery for a few minutes (PC unplugged from power of course) then replace battery. Some bios use other techniques tor protect change securely so this won't work (mainly laptops). Not sure why you need to get into your BIOS unless you have a BIOS virus (not even sure this is even possible anymore with modern PCs, but then again, I definitely could be wrong). :)

@Photocomix:

On standard IBM-type keyboards, the Delete key is the key right above the left-arrow key. This could be different on e.g. laptops, but that's the key I use to get into BIOS settings anyway. It sometimes gets necessary when tweaking a new system or dealing with new harddrive setups etc.

I thought there was a way to take a snapshot of your keyboard , the image would layout on your screen and you could mouse over any key and the key values would pop up?
isnt it in ... control panel/system somewhere?

You know what? I think I was being a little unfair. I'll give GT another shot. Though, next time some crap happens, I'm probably going to drop it completely.
