Seriously, I am really glad to have found this site. Googling for help with Gimp, can lead to way too many sites, that do not offer any version of REAL help or assistance.

I am brand new to using Gimp in any serious fasion, but am eager to learn. I do not mind reading, and if your assistance is nothing more than "go here and read this", it is still more than what I have been finding out, out there.

I have been lurking here and reading for a couple of hours, and after finding a lot of good information well explained, I am getting a sense that this is, "The Place" for someone wanting to learn Gimp. So I decided to register and join in.

Thanks to all of you for the things I have already read and learned, and in advance for any assistance you might provide later.
