I found this forum while searching for paintbrush patterns or tutorials. I had been a user of Photoshop CS3 for YEARS until I upgraded my computer and did not want to spend the money on updating Photoshop.

Actually, I had learned of Gimp at another forum where a member often posted his results of a topic photo using Gimp rather than Photoshop. His results were just as high quality as the photoshop results.

So far, I am very happy with Gimp, still learning the differences but overall extremely happy with my switch and that I found this forum!
