Introduce myself

This is the first forum I have ever joined that required active postings. Initially I thought that required posting was . . . unusual. But, the more I think about it, I think it is a good idea. It promotes communication between the users. I just do not know how much time I have to devote to 'Gimpchat' but, I am here to learn so, we will see.

I am here to search for tutorials that will teach me the various uses of GIMP. Ideally I would like to become proficiate (something better than a novice) in my use of GIMP.

I have never seen to logic of paying for proporiatory software that fails to correct some minor bug in favor of releasing the next newer, better version (that they get paid for) that still contains that same bug! Frustrating, to say the least. (Greed, the way of 'big' business!)

Welcome to the Gimp Chat forum Krayondude.
If you hang around a while, without a doubt you'll learn something. I've been Gimping for a long time, have been a member here for more than 2 years and there's still much for me to learn.
Becoming a member of GC, was one of the best and only things I've done to date that continues to further my Gimp know-how. I only wish that I had found GC sooner.
