Hi. I am new here, a hobbyist. My first graphics program was created by Micrografx and ran on 16 bits. I loved that program and it began a decades long passion for image software. Not long ago I got my first computer that was even above the mark of mediocre, and I thought about buying PS. I fiercely love GIMP, and asked, how well do I know what I have already? I began a deeper investigation and before I was done, found G'MIC for GIMP. I am a long way from caring about PS now, with 10,000 studies to go. So I have come here.

I created this image searching for something formulaic in the Hue-Saturation dialog.

Usually, I create textures for games, but I love an abstraction. That one is called Rainbow Merange

(didn't bother to look up spelling of meringue)

I haven't added a signature, but I suppose I would say, "GIMP aspires to its own."

Welcome to Gimp Chat. I really like that abstraction, it's pleasing to the eye.

Hi Lissa Fields. Welcome to GC. My first graphics program was Micrographx Picture Publisher (8 I believe) and it was bought for £5 from a charity shop.

Welcome to GC, Lissa. I hope you enjoy the site.
