Hello folks, this might be my 2nd introduction, I'm not sure. I posted the first one last night but I can't find it. Must have done something wrong :( Anyway looking to LEARN Gimp. I have some minor experience with different types of editors. My favorite thing is working with photos and I want to learn all the intricate things I see from a lot of you guy's. Checking out the essential video tutorials for starters. Would love any direction pointers that would help. I have Windows 7 and not sure of which Gimp version to install. Also at the bottom of this window is a list of options I could check, one is already checked (Attach a signature (signatures can be altered via the UCP) does this need to be checked off? Thanks for any help. Hope to get to know a lot of you.

Just to be clear, the safest place to get GIMP is always the official website:
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

The most recent version will be listed there.

Hello and welcome to Gimp Chat Uncle_al.

Also when you go for your download you will need to get 32 or 64 bit, depending on your system.

(Only if you have put a signature in your user control panel do you need to check attach)

Actually, both 32 and 64 bit installs are bundled in the same installer - the correct one will be used at install time, so no need to worry about which is which beforehand.

Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.
