I've been lurking on this forum for the last several days, trying out some of the tutorials, so I figured I should go ahead and join. I don't participate in discussion boards very often, but this seems like a great creative community to connect with.

I like to use GIMP to make images related to my in-progress novels and short stories; it helps me get a better feel for the worlds that I am building in the stories. I write science fiction and fantasy mostly, with a smattering of poetry now and then.

Anyway, thank you everyone for sharing your work and tutorials. I know I'm not the only one who appreciates the time you take to share.
