Spent 20 years of my career using software, proprietary or Cadence (amongst others) and thought……..Gimp, how hard could it be? Yeah right. What a powerful program!! What an nonintuitive program!! Have picked up some basics already but will definitely be asking a lot of questions of the group. Someone should fix the registration procedure. Dragging one element to the right doesn't/didn't work for me. However, when you drag an element vertically, it worked.

Hi star_rider.
Seems like you made it past the registration procedure nonetheless.

Yes but you decorated it yourself. :bigthup Would you be interested in creating the entire alphabet in caps?

Rod, I'll need more details about what I should do exactly. Thanks. :)

Love trans reply :lol :lol . I don't think we are in the Matrix.
Not sure what you mean re dragging items but you can set-up your gimp to however you want. (ie have the toolbox on the left /right or if your screen is big enough probably even above or below the main window. Some people even have the different windows on different monitors. Leaving one monitor for their picture screen. I guess this would be particularly useful once you know all of the key/strokes for tools.
I have never learnt them  (Haven't got past select all, cut/copy and paste)
(I need a cheat sheet ;) )
