Hi all, just popped over to say hi, I'm lynne & I live in Cirencester uk. I've only just discovered gimp and love the thought of making my own book covers (I write ebooks) & tinkering with my photos. I took a photo not long ago but none of the angles I could find would allow me to shoot without a streetlight right in the middle. Now I can learn to take the light out after I've taken my picture!!

Hi Lynne, welcome to GC. An especially big Hi to you as I have been to Cirencester a number of times when I lived in Swindon. It's a lovely town - I'm a very big fan of the Cotswolds! :hi5

Thanks so much for that lovely welcome! Especially Erisian who has been here! It is really nice to 'meet' you all. I love gimp and all its possibilities, but I found it hard to learn!
Take care all :)

Welcome Lindyloo,
You will find that Gimp will let you do so many incredible things. Gimp Chat will definitely help you to take your ideas and turn them into a visual work of art. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Greg

Thanks for that Greg. Gimp is amazing! As well as ebook covers I have started taking photos which I'd like to learn to change, but for now I need to get some books sorted.
