Hi I'm Mimaw. I've been using Gimp 2,8 for a year now. I recently download the latest version. 2.10.2 I believe.
I loved using the neon lights effect in the logo filter in the 2.8. I don't see it in the 2.10. Does it no loner come automatically? Or am I missing something?

LOL, yeah. It's bugging me that it's not there like in the 2.8. I'd like to have it back. I realy use it a lot.

Well, I can do it one one computer where I had the 2.8. But it's old and I'm using a different computer now. And it didn't have the 2.8 on it. Unless I upload/download it on a flash drive and transfer it to the one I'm using. But that doesn't help new users access that feature. I think it's great for the things I want to do.

If you do what Tin said, you find the 2 functions were they were:
File/Create/Logos/Neon
Filters/Alpha to Logo/Neon

If you encounter problems, you may download the attached version, with the syntax updated to 2.10.

*smiles yeah, Mimaw is pronounced Meemaw. And thank you for your advice. I've tried all of that. I seem to have 2 creates in file. I've clicked on both and don't see logo at all. Not even under filter as in the 2.8. :( Seems a shame to go through such a hassle to get the filter I had been using. I haven't tried to download anything. If I do where do I put in the gimp s.10?

Very likely you don't have samj's portable 2.10.2.
Download and install this version
